Louise Griffiths, Trainee Social Value Consultant

Meet the Team - Louise Griffiths, Trainee Social Value Consultant at Samtaler

Tell us a bit about your job?

My role at Samtaler as a Trainee Social Value Consultant is in the client delivery team. I support our Social Value Consultants to fulfil the requirements of different client projects.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

I’m working on improving my Technical/IT skills to increase my proficiency and productivity as I take on more responsibility in my role.

What is the best thing about your job/what you are looking forward to the most?

Being the first Trainee Social Value Consultant at Samtaler, I’m excited to learn and absorb as much as possible. I look forward to all the opportunities and responsibilities that come my way. To advance with the business and collaborate in shaping my training to align with my interests.

What’s led you to Samtaler and working in social value?

Social value became an interest for me while studying for my Business and Sociology degree and undertaking a series of internships in predominantly CSR, ESG and Business Development positions. It has always been vital that I find a role within a team of people who place the same value on the same things as me, those being our planet and people. For me, working in social value is a way that I can support organisations in becoming better, and making positive, long-term changes. So when I came across Samtaler – a small, female-led team of passionate and dedicated people – it was a no-brainer!

What things are you focusing on over the next 12 months?

Of course, the main thing I will be focusing on is my training here at Samtaler. I’m keen to learn about social value and develop my existing skills. Personally, I will be focusing on using more of my free time to read; since the start of my final year of university; I can count the books I’ve read on one hand! Similarly, I studied German at A-Level, then again in my first year at university, but dropped off as other things got in the way. Still, I enjoyed learning it – that’s something I’d like to get back into again!

What’s your guilty pleasure?
